Nervous Gender -> Nervous Gender Reloaded: an Evolution of Style

This booklet was made for our installation at Tequila Mockingbird’s Punk Museum, part of the Goethe-Institut Los Angeles’s Alle gegen Alles. Punk@50 program, where physical copies sat on a collection plate at the foot of the display, free for the taking. It gathers photographs spanning fifty years of Edward’s work in cloth, from the design room at Poseurs on Sunset through Neo 80, Tiger Rose, and Black Salad, to the stage wear of Nervous Gender Reloaded, alongside the story of a designer who treated punk as a shared language and spent five decades speaking his own dialect of it. Photographs by Wild Don Lewis, Edward Colver, Karin Lindberg-Freda, @venom_verbatim, Bumbdog Torres, Doug Moore, Sydney Rose, and others whose names the decades have misplaced; if one of these images is yours, tell us and we will restore your name to it.
